A parent identity built to hold two brands, without competing with either.

The Slow Company is the parent company of Artes, a premium wellness centre, and Neighbor, a café, both in the heart of Zurich. Ahead of launch, Office of Joe Diver built the brand's identity from the ground up, designed to support the sub-brands in gaining partnerships and investment before either had opened its doors. The system had to stay clean enough to let Artes and Neighbor's own identities shine, while feeling premium and considered enough to stand in front of investors on its own.

A nod to Swiss design, built for a modern audience.

Restrained typography, precise grids, and a clarity that never competes for attention. Art direction and photography carried much of the weight, giving the brand a tranquil, editorial feel built to support the brands living inside it rather than compete with them, professional enough to stand in front of investors, calm enough to still feel like slow living.

Tranquil, from composition to interaction.

The website carries that same sense of calm through to how it moves. Clear information, nothing unnecessary, just a considered demonstration of what The Slow Company is, with animation and interaction kept quiet enough to never disturb the feeling of tranquility running through it.

Swiss design, or the International Typographic Style, was born in Zürich and Basel, built on simplicity, clarity and objectivity through grids, sans-serif type and negative space. Those principles carried straight into this identity, reflecting the environment The Slow Company calls home.
